OUR STORY

Tierneys Wholesale Ltd. is a wholesale distribution company that offers paper, packaging & cleaning supplies. We are a privately owned, B2B (business-to-business) company that has been going strong for over 4 decades.

Since those early beginnings, many changes have been made. In the last 28 years, we have grown into a Canada-wide company while remaining headquartered in Greater Vancouver.

Today, we’re a team of inclusive players from various backgrounds. We have a dedicated & flexible style of serving our customers. We love to initiate change while keeping with the tried & true. Most importantly, we always keep our customer’s experience at the forefront of everything we do. Tierneys has & continues to change with customer demands for full service, full-scale paper, packaging & cleaning supplies. We serve businesses in food preparation & service, janitorial, retail, shipping, industry & much more.

Our product lines are constantly growing to provide our customers with what they need now. We offer a large variety of quality products with over 10,000 items, including those designed to keep our environment clean.

At Tierneys we like to keep things simple. Our commitment is to provide a broad-spectrum selection of products of excellent quality & that are well-priced. All are accompanied in an easy & friendly manner by our team. First-class knowledge, efficiency & reliability are our hallmarks. SUSTAINABILITY

At Tierneys, we know we all have an impact on the environment & the community at large. We’re committed to improving that impact with the products we sell & the way we operate.

In 2008, we began the first push into nature-based, eco-friendly packaging products. These products went to the commissary for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, BC. Since then, we have expanded our lines of compostable, biodegradable & renewable resource products to help keep our environment as clean as possible.

To that end, we have eco-certifications on most of our products.

Today, we have governmental single-use plastics rules that we abide by, providing recyclable plastics & supporting the circular economy.

Tierneys also focuses on our supply chain to understand the measures our manufacturers are applying to lower their environmental footprint. We readily support our local manufacturers for 2 reasons: lessening the carbon footprint of products & keeping business in our community. When we support local businesses, we help our entire community.

In-house, the nature of our distribution operations creates little waste. All bulk packaging from the shipments we receive is recycled or reused. Our offices are kept to a minimum functional size & our warehouses use energy as needed.

Our vehicles have early schedules to shorten commuting times & lessen air quality impact. For the future, we can see our fleet being all electric run & we look forward to that change. Our final commitment is positively impacting our community by supporting local charitable organizations. Whether we’re taking care of our planet or each other, it’s all up to us!
